"We found that while countries like the United States and Britain have been able to reduce the risk of women dying from breast cancer through better screening and treatment, the less affluent countries are seeing the risks increase ".

telah melampaui batas normal, namun
belum mencapai batas diagnosa diabetes.
Kondisi prediabetes tidak boleh dianggap
enteng, karena sebagian individu dengan
prediabetes akan berkembang menjadi
diabetes apabila tidak ditangani dengan
baik. Orang yang terdiagnosis prediabetes,
dan tak segera dikendalikan, dalam waktu
sekitar 5-10 tahun akan meningkat menjadi
diabetes.


“Jika sudah diabetes, tidak dapat
disembuhkan dan lebih sulit
penanganannya,” kata Prof. Sidartawan
menambahkan.
Dia menjelaskan, batas gula darah yang
normal dibedakan atas dua kondisi, puasa
atau sesudah makan. Untuk kondisi puasa
(tidak mendapat asupan kalori 8-10 jam
sebelumnya), batasnya adalah 100 mg/dL.
Sedangkan untuk kondisi sesudah makan
atau sewaktu makan, batasnya adalah 140
mg/dL. Lewat dari salah satu ketentuan
tersebut, seharusnya masuk pada
prediabetes.

Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster Akan Segera Diproduksi

BERLIN- Produsen mobil asal Jerman Mercedes Benz, nampaknya
serius menghadirkan super car versi atap terbuka model SLS AMG.
Menurut pihak Mercedes, mobil baru tersebut sedang dalam
tahap pengujian dan pengembangan. Para ahli AMG memberikan
perhatian khusus terhadap aspek kekakuan bodyshell, dinamika
berkendara, bagian atap, dan NVH (kebisingan, getaran dan
kekerasan).
Rencananya, mobil dua pintu itu akan mulai dipajang pada
gelaran Frankfurt Auto Show 2011 yang berlangsung pada
September mendatang.
Karena atap tidak lagi menggunakan bahan pelat, melainkan
kanvas, bobot kendaraan lebih ringan 2 kilogram dibanding versi
coupe.
Menariknya, kain tiga lapis soft top dapat dibuka dan ditutup
hanya dalam hitungan 11 detik dengan satu sentuhan tombol.
Prosesi tersebut juga dapat berlangsung dalam keadaan mobil
berjalan di kecepatan maksimal 50 km/jam.
Ketika dibuka, lalu melipat di belakang kursi. Soft top akan
tersimpan dalam formasi-Z untuk menghemat ruang bagasi.
Mobil bernama SLS AMG Roadster ini masih melalui tahap
pengujian intensif, termasuk tes ketahanan hujan keras dengan 16
kriteria dan uji coba praktis di semua zona iklim.
Mobil bertenaga 517 hp tersebut dapat dikebut hingga kecepatan
317 km/jam. namun kecepatan puncak dibatasi secara elektronik
atas alasan keamanan.
